The Dakar Rally 2024 kicks off on January 4 with the riders’ presentation, followed by the prologue on January 5 and the official start of the rally with stage 1 on January 6. The event spans 12 stages over 14 days, including one rest day and a marathon stage lasting two days, concluding on January 19

From Al’Ula, the Dakar Rally ventures into the vast Empty Quarter before reaching the rest day in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The second leg of the rally then progresses to Ha’il, known for its established rally event, before returning to Al-Ula and culminating in Yanbu at the Red Sea
Within the Empty Quarter, an uninhabited expanse, organizers have introduced a surprise for the 2024 edition – a marathon stage spanning 48 hours. For the first time, routes for cars and bikes will be separate, challenging car competitors to navigate their own paths without following the tracks of the bikes
